I
don't remember when I actually got the idea of doing paintings
of seeds. I think it evolved from my interest in doing some
fruits, like the raspberry, very large and close up. Cutting up
vegetables for dinner inspired me to start photographing what I
saw inside them. The color, mystery, shapes and of course the
seeds, are amazing. One thing led to another and I got hooked on
the varieties of incredible fruits and vegetables, sometimes
buying items in the supermarkets that I had never seen before. I
show the whole series below, including several that have been
sold, and will add to it as new paintings are completed. I have
many that I have photographed and only await the time to get to
them.
