Trilogy II: Grape Jump   oil     16 x 20     $450

The image of these little grapes jumping off the ramp into the bowl in the back tickles me so much. I guess I have an odd sense of humor. I have told a few people the title of this painting and they look at me as if I have lost my mind. But whenever I look at it I can feel a wave of laughter rising inside me, as if I was 10 years old with the giggles! It is so odd. I guess at my age I have earned the right to become silly again. Since so much in my life is not fun, or silly, it makes me happy to be able to paint a painting that makes me laugh like a kid again. In the end maybe I will be the only person entertained by this painting and the two other companion pieces in the trilogy. But it shows that painting does not have to be all serious and somber.
