LANDSCAPES

There is such joy in painting landscapes! I wish I had time to do more. One of the sad facts of our modern life is that it is no longer safe to paint en plein air especially for a woman alone. After a very uncomfortable situation in Wyoming I no longer paint alone outside unless in a group or on private property. I am also conscious of exposure to the sun and so I often work from photographs. But there is nothing like the direct observation of nature and watching the shifting light on a scene. Since my move to Florida I have become focused on the sky. The clouds are incredible in the humidity of Florida. I have many paintings of Clouds, skies, and sunsets which I’m showing in a section of it’s own. CLOUDSCAPES
