My drawing students have taught me more about drawing than I learned from my own teachers! My students are a continuous source of pleasure to me and I am thrilled with their successes. I can’t help mentioning some personal things about these four students, Cretora at 84 is my oldest student and Caroline was 17 at the time she did the hat and was my youngest student. Caroline’s dream was to get into Rhode Island School of Design and drawings like this one made that possible for her. Valerie astonished me with the drawing of the tools, a fantastically difficult piece which she accomplished after only about six weeks of working with me. |
