This page illustrates two parts of a 4 part series of Tampa paintings. Tampa is a beautiful city with some very odd architectural features and some quirky places like that in the painting of the “Marble Staircase” which is situated on the University of Tampa campus and rises grandly to Kennedy Boulevard bridge where it goes over the Hillsborough River. In “After the Storm” the city is seen in the distance while the Italianate balustrade of Bayshore Boulevard is seen in the foreground. This divider between land and sea stretches for miles! Two more paintings are planned for this series, one of which will be Tampa at night in a thunderstorm. |
