A Note on Framing and Buying

Not all my new work is here. I have added new Egg Tempera Genesis Series paintings on that page rather than here and some have not been added at all.

  WAITING FOR THE GREEN LIGHT
Oil on Canvas     12 x 24     2010   gallery wrap

The view out the 12th floor of the John Knox Village hi-rise overlooks Fletcher Avenue, the entrance to the University of South Florida, and the Mormon Church. The Sun Dome is at the far right, one of the USF Dorms is the other hi-rise building on the far left.

The Sobriety Angel

THE SOBRIETY ANGEL
watercolor with gold embellishment    9 x 12    2009

I wanted to do a series of angel paintings for a long time, and envisioned them as Egg Tempera creations complete with gold leaf, and other embellishments that I don't know how to do. I like to add a new Christmas card to the selections on my Recovery Cards website (www.recoverycards.biz) each year but it was just impossible to get this painting done in time for 2009, so she will go for next year. In the  meantime she is sold as matted prints on the Recovery Cards website. For people in recovery this angel is a vision of hope, joy and healing as she brings sanity and love into our lives.

THE PORCH pastel  9 x 12  2009  framed and double matted

This is the porch on the south side of the  Tampa Palms association at Compton Park. Mary Ellen Bitner and I went to find a plein air location near her house and the location we went to was a park that was closed for a Federal Holiday, so we regrouped and set up here, where several art groups we both belong to hold meetings; NTAL and Les Girls Painting Society. I was in a mood to challenge myself with perspective that day!

FIVE LEMONS ON A GLASS PLATE
oil  12 x 12   gallery wrapped canvas

I don't get tired of painting stuff like this. It started out as a class demonstration and finished up with multiple sessions in the studio.
