My adopted city fascinates me. It
is a beautiful place, for the most part, and I enjoy
spending a Sunday morning or afternoon adventuring in the
downtown area when there is little traffic and I can find a
nice parking place on the street. It is typical of most
modern cities, with high rise buildings built of mirrored
glass and steel, but Tampa features some very quirky
architecture as well; like the strange silver domes of the
University of Tampa, formerly the home of Henry Plant the
railroad magnate who developed the Florida west coast rail
system.
